Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday ordered a stay on the appointment of professors and associate professors in all state-run universities in the state.
The court ordered a stay on the original notification of the Higher Education department dated June 21, 2019, wherein there was no mention of reservation for posts of professors and associate professors.
Following a writ petition on this matter, the High Court had ordered a stay in the appointment of professors and associate professors in Sambalpur University.
Besides, a similar writ was also filed on the issue of appointment in Gangadhar Meher University and Fakir Mohan University.
