Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has issued notice to BJD MLA Arun Sahoo in a case alleging that he furnished false information in the affidavit during the recent elections.
The High Court issued notice to the Nayagarh MLA on a petition filed by BJP leader Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh, who was the saffron party candidate in the Assembly constituency.
Pratyusha in her petition has alleged that Sahoo had given false information regarding his assets in the affidavit submitted by him while filing nomination for the Assembly election.
Admitting the petition, the High Court issued notice to Sahoo. The next hearing is scheduled to be held on August 28.
