Rourkela: An orphan teen, who was abducted five years ago from a slum in Rourkela, was rescued from a house in the city on Tuesday.
Police have arrested a student and another person in this connection. They were identified as Chiranjeev Chakraborty, an engineering student, and Prabhat Panda, the son of an employee of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
According to Rourkela police, the accused had taken a government quarter at Sector-1 on rent and kept around 60 dogs for a kennel business.
The two had allegedly kidnapped the 12-year-old orphan boy from Gopabandhupalli slum around 5 years ago and forced him to take care of the dogs.
They allegedly tortured the minor boy, including branding him with hot iron, to do their bidding.
On being alerted, police raided the house on Tuesday morning and arrested the youths.
