Bhubaneswar: Police here on Friday arrested a sepoy with the third battalion of Odisha Special Armed Police (OSAP) for allegedly a woman on the promise of marriage.
The accused has been identified as Raja Kishore Bhoi.
He was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the woman at Nayapalli police station and booked under Sections 450, 376 and 505 of IPC.
According to police sources, Bhoi had allegedly forced the complainant into a physical relationship about two years ago and goaded her to leave her husband and infant. He was arrested earlier for allegedly molesting her in public at Saheed Nagar here.
However, he later ditched her and married someone else. Having been deserted by her husband following the incident, the woman lodged an FIR on December 12, 2019.
