Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) has constituted a committee to oversee the implementation of its Snake Bite Reduction Programme.
The core committee, to be headed by the executive director of OSDMA, will have 7 members. They are director, Public Health services; director, AIIMS; representative of SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack; Dr Pratyush Mohapatra, scientist, Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata; Peeyush Ramawtar Sekhsaria, representative of World Bank; Subhendu Mallik, head, Snake Helpline and chief general manager, OSDMA.
The committee will look after the implementation of the Snake Bite Reduction Programme under supervision of the managing director, OSDMA, according to an official order released by the OSDMA on Thursday.
