Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2026 will be held on Wednesday itself, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has clarified.
In a video statement released on Tuesday, BSE Odisha president Srikanata Tarai urged candidates across the state not to pay heed to false information doing the rounds on social media platforms suggesting the exam had been deferred or cancelled.
It was a timely clarification from the Board as misleading posts and claims had led to speculation and created widespread confusion among thousands of aspirants preparing for the exam.
BSE Odisha reaffirmed that all necessary preparations and security measures are fully in place at various exam centres across the state for the exam.
Advisory for candidates
* Arrive at designated exam centres well in advance with your downloaded admit card and valid photo ID.
* Ignore rumours and cross-verify any notice through the official website (bseodisha.ac.in) only, rather than unverified social media updates.
* Follow all exam hall rules and standard guidelines issued on admit cards.
