Sambalpur: In a bid to attract more tourists, the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) launched water sports activities at the Hirakud Dam Reservoir on Thursday.
Water sports activities were launched by commerce and transport minister Padmanabh Behera and OTDC chairperson Shreemayee Mishra.
The water sports activities at the reservoir will be operated and managed by Akela Adventure.
Jetski, water scooter, speed boat, six-seat banana boat, bumper boat, kayak boat, family boat and paddle boats will be operated at the reservoir.
According to OTDC chairperson Shreemayee Mishra, the government has been pushing for the development of tourism in the state and attract more tourists.
