New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Business tycoon Anand Mahindra took to Twitter on Tuesday to praise the Odisha government’s latest infrastructure plan.
On August 9, the Odisha cabinet had approved a proposal for building 89 indoor stadiums, which can be used as hospitals during health emergencies and as cyclone shelters, at an estimated cost of Rs 693.35 crore.
Calling the initiative ‘superb’, he said that other states should emulate Odisha in creating “productive assets”, which can have “a multiplier effect on economic activity and employment.”
He was all praise for the Odisha government’s plan to use the infrastructure during “medical and environmental crises”.
Here is his complete tweet:
“Superb. Investments in infrastructure create productive assets & a multiplier effect on economic activity & employment. Infrastructure that can multitask & be deployed during medical & environmental crises (the 2 greatest future threats) is brilliant. All states should emulate this.”
