Bhubaneswar: A photo of a man smoking cigarette on the premises of Shree Lingaraj Temple in Odisha capital has again raised serious questions on security bandobast at the 11th-century shrine.
The matter came to light after the man shared the photograph clicked near the Rosha Ghara on social media platforms.
Expressing strong discontent over the incident, the sevayats have demanded the arrest of the person. They are keeping a vigil in the Old Town area to trace the individual, who is said to be a local. Questions are also being raised on how he managed to enter the temple with a cigarette despite a ban on consumption of pan and tobacco products on the premises.
Ekamara-Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh said that strict action should be taken against such individuals.
This comes almost a month after Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s photos and videos from inside the shrine, a restricted area, sparked public outrage.
