London: Three members of the Indian cricket team support staff have been isolated after head coach Ravi Shastri’s COVID-19 lateral flow test was found to be positive during the ongoing Test match against England at The Oval, the BCCI said in a statement on Sunday.
They are fielding coach R Sridhar, bowling coach Bharat Arun and physio Nitin Patel.
“They have undergone RT-PCR testing and shall remain in the team hotel and not travel with Team India until confirmation from the medical team,” said BCCI honorary secretary Jay Shah.
Meanwhile, India resumed play on Day 4 of the Oval Test on Sunday at a score of 270/3, with skipper Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja at the crease and the team leading by 171 runs.
