Keonjhar: Over 10 passengers were injured after a bus overturned on NH-49 near Kunwar village within Kanjipani police limits under Telkoi block of Odisha’s Keonjhar district around 8 am on Monday.
According to sources, the accident took place when the bus driver tried to avoid a bicyclist, who suddenly came in front of the vehicle, which was headed towards Keonjhar from the Bama Dulia area of Kankadahada in Dhenkanal district.
Around 50 passengers were inside the bus. The injured were immediately taken to the nearest community health centre for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the accident.
