Baripada: Unidentified miscreants decamped with cash worth over 20 lakh from four ATMs of different banks at Baripada town in Mayurbhanj district late on Saturday.
According to sources, separate loot incidents took place at ATM kiosks of United Bank of India (UBI) at Palabani, Axis Bank at Station Bazaar and Tulasi Choura and Bank of India (BOI) at Poda Astia.
The incidents came to the light this morning after some passerby and public found the ATMs ransacked and alerted the cops.
Police along with scientific team and dog squad reached the spot and started inquiry.
“The looters broke open the machines apparently with the help of gas cutters. A particular gang is suspected to have committed the crime,” Baripada SDPO Abhianyu Nayak informed.
