Bhubaneswar: More than 200 stalls exhibiting various farm produce and advanced technology in agriculture will be set up at the three-day Krushi Odisha 2025 in Bhubaneswar from Friday.
The Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment department is organising the Krushi Odisha 2025 at Biju Patnaik Playground in Baramunda of the city from January 3 to 5.
The mega agriculture exhibition will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi while Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and other dignitaries will be present.
The theme of this year Krushi Odisha is “A Step towards Sustainable Food System”. It has three sub-themes of Climate Smart Agriculture, Organic Farming and Water Governance. While the first day will be devoted for Climate Resilient Food System & Climate Smart Horticulture, second day for Soil Health, Natural Farming and its value chain and the third day for Pani Panchayat Pakhya Palan with Sustainable Water Governance.
This event will showcase and leverage the potential of the state and its investment opportunities in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Processing, and Fisheries and Animal Husbandry sectors.
The organisers are expecting footfall of around 10,000 farmers, SHGs, FPOs, NGOs, Pani Panchayat members, agri-entrepreneurs, exporters, students, research scholars and manufacturers from different corners of the state.
There will be 13 technical sessions in co-ordination with different government departments Central government, ICAR institutes, CGIAR institutes, NGOs, farmer–scientist interactions, seminars, farmer facilitation centre, experience–learning centre and display of farm machineries.
Various programmes including quiz, debates, storytelling, poem recitation, skit competition, virtual experience zone, Farmer Facilitation Centre and an Experimental Learning Centre are being organised.
Progressive farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, SHGs/FPOs from 30 districts of the state, agriculture and allied sectors, who have shown excellence in successful farming module, will be felicitated in the event.
