Class IV staffer Biranchi Nayak receives the first Covid-19 vaccine at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: More than 4,28,000 beneficiaries have been administered COVID-19 vaccine in Odisha till date.
A total of 10,000 beneficiaries have completed their vaccination schedule by taking the second vaccine shots, stated the Health and Family Welfare department in its tweet.
The beneficiaries vaccinated include over 2.88 lakh healthcare workers, covering nearly 85% of the targeted vaccination.
On the other hand, about 1,30,000 out of 2 lakh frontline workers have also received their first vaccine shot.
However, to achieve 100% vaccination of the deadline for vaccination has been extended till February 25 for healthcare workers and till February 28 for frontline workers. This part of the mop-up exercise by the state government with a focus to cover the remaining 15% healthcare workers left behind in the process.
