New Delhi: Ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament, more than 400 staff members tested positive for COVID-19 during random testing from January 4-8, official sources said.
“Close to 402 staffers were found infected and all samples have been sent to genome sequencing for Omicron variant confirmation,” an official told ANI.
Notably, they did not show any symptoms. “More random testing will be conducted for those coming to Parliament to control the infection spread,” the official added.
