Mumbai: Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Kapoor’s Instagram message on Sunday afternoon, announcing the birth of a baby girl, has received over 5 million ‘likes’ and nearly 1.3 lakh congratulatory messages in 24 hours… and counting.
Deepika gave birth to the couple’s first child at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on September 8.
There were a flood of messages on social media after the star Bollywood couple shared the news with a simple message — “Welcome baby girl. 8.09.2024. Deepika and Ranveer.”
Among Bollywood stars who congratulated DeepVeer in the comments section were Ananya Panday, Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon, Sunil Grover and Athiya Shetty.
Veteran actor Arjun Kapoor wrote: “Laxmi aayi hai!!! The queen is here.”
The couple visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai on September 6, and was spotted going into the hospital on the evening of September 7.
Deepika, 38, and Ranveer, 39, have not yet released any photo of their daughter, but some AI-generated images are already circulating online.
Last week, Deepika shared a series of monochromatic images displaying her baby bump in a collection of chic outfits. The series also featured both parents-to-be, radiating happiness.
