Bhubaneswar: More than 5000 students from Odisha on Sunday appeared for the JEE Advanced 2020 which began in 1150 centres in 222 cities across the country with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
Out of a total of 1,60,864 students, more than 5000 students from Odisha appeared in the five centres in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Rourkela.
For the first time, the students appeared the JEE Advanced in the IIT-Bhubaneswar campus.
The JEE Advanced test, conducted by the IIT-Delhi in the CBT (computer-based test) mode, has two shifts from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
While the results will be declared on October 5, the allotment of seats in 23 IITs will begin from October 6 and completed by November 9.
