Bhubaneswar: As many as 2980 more COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease and were discharged from different hospitals in the state, taking the tally beyond 90,000 on Friday.
Of the day’s recovered cases, 654 were reported from Cuttack, 263 from Khurda, 212 from Ganjam, 207 from Mayurbhanj, 133 from Sambalpur, 126 from Balangir, 114 each from Nayagarh and Puri, 111 from Balasore and 103 from Koraput district.
Similarly, there were 91 recoveries in Kendrapara, 87 in Bargarh, 80 in Angul, 80 in Keonjhar, 76 in Rayagada, 75 in Dhenkanal, 68 in Sundargarh, 67 in Jharsuguda, 64 in Bhadrak and 61 in Malkangiri, according to Health and Family Welfare department..
The recovered cases that were registered in other districts are as follow:
38 from Jagatsinghpur
37 from Nuapada
33 from Kandhamal
25 from Gajapati
21 from Nabarangpur
20 from Jajapur
10 from Kalahandi
5 from Deogarh
5 from Sonepur.
With the day’s figure, the total recovered cases in Odisha went up to 90,331 against 1,16,678 COVID-19 positive cases. As many as 3,267 new cases were reported overnight from all 30 districts.
