Dhaka: At least 70 people are feared dead in a massive fire that broke out at a chemical warehouse in Old Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area on Wednesday night and quickly spread to four other buildings nearby.
Fire officials said that the death toll could rise further as dozens of people are still trapped in the buildings and the firefighters are yet to enter the main spot where the fire broke out.
Over 50 wounded people are being treated at two major state-run facilities here, a news agency reported.
