Bhubaneswar: Over 8000 people above the age of 45 have taken COVID-19 vaccine at five drive-in facilities launched by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
Appreciating the facility keeping in mind the elderly face while standing in queues at walk-in VCCs Bramhapada Bhattacharjee (80) and his wife Soma (75) said “It is so good that there is no long queue and no crowd. We have been spared of all those troubles and got vaccinated in our cars.” They had availed the facility at Esplanade One Mall in Rasulgarh Square on May 11.
The drive-in vaccination centres are also operational at DN Regalia Mall, Patrapada; Utkal Kanika Galleria, Kalpana Square; Symphony Mall, Rudrapur and KIIT University Cricket Ground.
The first drive-in vaccination was launched at Esplanade One Mall on May 8 where 430 persons took the vaccine on day-1.
