Keonjhar: Two unidentified miscreants looted more than Rs 1 lakh from two youths at gun-point in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Saturday.

As per reports, the youths, identified as Alok Palei and Amiya Kumar Barik of Ranki village under Telkoi block in the district, were going to nearby Chhamunda village on a bike carrying Rs 1.07 lakh in a bag in afternoon. As they reached Dobalapal Chhak under Telkoi police limits, they were intercepted by the miscreants.

When Alok and Amiya stopped their motorcycle, one of the miscreants brought out a gun and pointed at them. The other person attacked the pillion driver with a sharp weapon. As the pillion driver sustained injuries on his hand in the attack, the accused snatched the bag and fled.

On hearing the shouting of the Alok and Amiya, the locals gathered there and rushed the injured person to a hospital in Telkoi.
