Over Rs 7.5 Lakh Looted From ATM Kiosk Of SBI In Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir: Unidentified miscreants looted more than Rs 7 lakh from an ATM kiosk of State Bank of India (SBI) in Odisha’s Balangir.

According to sources, the local people found the ATM kiosk near Saramuhan village under Patnagarh block of the district damaged on Sunday morning. The parts of cash disbursal machine in the ATM were thrown around the kiosk.

On being informed, a team from Patnagarh police station went to the spot and started investigation. From preliminary investigation, the police said the miscreants had targeted the kiosk on Saturday night. They first cut off the power supply to the kiosk and then broke open the cash machine with some instruments.

The SBI officials, who were informed by the police about the loot, also visited the spot. They said cash was deposited in the ATM kiosk on Saturday evening. They estimated the looted cash to be around Rs 7.5 lakh, the sources said.
