New Delhi: Police have managed to arrest Delhi-based businessman Navneet Kalra, who was absconding after being accused of black marketing of oxygen concentrators.
According to reports, Kalra was arrested from the home of his brother-in-law in Gurugram.
During recent raids, 524 oxygen concentrators were recovered from three restaurants — Khan Chacha, Nega Ju and Town Hall — owned by Kalra.
Kalra had reportedly bought the concentrators from Matrix Cellular, which imported them.
Following this, the accused businessman had gone into hiding.
On May 5, Delhi Police had lodged a case of cheating and criminal conspiracy among other charges against Kalra.
On Friday, the Delhi High Court had upheld a trial court order that declined to grant him interim protection from arrest.
