Bhubaneswar: A conference on Paediatric Gastroenterology was held at Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here on May 26.
Deliberations were mainly on liver and gastrointestinal disorders in children, with Prof. (Dr) Ujjal Poddar, an eminent gastroenterologist from Lucknow’s Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Prof. (Dr) N C Mohanty from MGM Hospital (Mumbai) being the resource persons at the conference.
Paediatricians and postgraduate students from across Odisha were among 150 delegates who attended the conference and interacted with the doctors.
IMS and SUM Hospital’s Head of Department of Paediatrics Prof. (Dr) Mamata Devi Mohanty, the hospital’s Head of department of Gastroenterology Prof. (Dr) Girish Pati, paediatrician Prof. (Dr) Mrutyunjay Dash and Associate Professor Dr Kalpana Panda organised the conference with the support of the Bhubaneswar branch of Indian Academy of Paediatricians.
