Pair Of Trains Cancelled For Safety Work; Run Of 2 Spl Trains From Odisha Extended

Bhubaneswar: The services of the Express train between Berhampur and Visakhaptnam will remain cancelled between September 10 and September 12, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) informed on Wednesday.

The trains, which will remain cancelled in view of traffic blocks for Ballast Cleaning Machine (BCM) work between Pendurti and Simhachalam on the Up line, are as follows:

Train No. 18525 Brahmapur – Visakhapatnam Express scheduled to leave Brahmapur on 11.09.2025 and 13.09.2025 will be cancelled.

Train No. 18526 Visakhapatnam – Brahmapur Express scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam on 10.09.2025 and 12.09.2025 will be cancelled.

Meanwhile, Indian Railways has decided to extend the run of some special trains to continue providing better travel facilities and to meet the increasing passenger demand during the festive season.

The ECoR said that the trains will run with their existing timings, stoppages, and composition as earlier notified:

Puri – Patna – Puri Weekly Special (Train No. 08439/08440)

Train No. 08439 Puri – Patna Weekly Special: Extended to run up to November 29 from Puri on Saturdays.

Train No. 08440 Patna – Puri Weekly Special: Extended to run up to November 30 from Patna on Sundays.

Bhubaneswar – Yesvantpur – Bhubaneswar Weekly Special (Train No. 02811/02812)

Train No. 02811 Bhubaneswar – Yesvantpur Weekly Special: Extended to run up to November 29 from Bhubaneswar on Saturdays.

Train No. 02812 Yesvantpur – Bhubaneswar Weekly Special: Extended to run up to December 1 from Yesvantpur on Mondays.

Passengers are requested to make note of this extension and plan their journey accordingly, it added.
