Pak Fans Pick Up Old ‘Going Home’ Tweet To Troll Virat Kohli After India’s World Cup Exit

New Delhi: India lost out on the chance to qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup after New Zealand defeated Afghanistan on Sunday and booked the final available spot for the next round of the tournament.

As the Indian cricket team prepared to return home, a nine-year-old tweet by current captain Virat Kohli was unearthed on the microblogging site Twitter.

“going home tomorrow. not a good feeling,” tweet dated March 20 2012 by Kohli read.

Although the old and out-of-context tweet began doing rounds on the Indian Twitter, it wasn’t long before Pakistani fans picked it up and were quick to troll the Indian skipper.
