A Pakistani news channel recently goofed up on a news update by using Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s photo in place of murder accused and MQM leader Amir Khan’s picture.
As per reports, the news piece was written in Urdu along with a snapshot of Indian actor Aamir Khan.
Sharing a screenshot of the same on Twitter, Journalist Naila Inayat wrote, “Headline: After 17 years MQM leader Amir Khan exonerated in a murder case. Didn’t know Indian actor Amir Khan was in Pakistan for the last 17 years..”
As soon as Naila’s post went viral, the Pakistani news channel got trolled for irresponsible reporting.
However, the channel later accepted and corrected its mistake.
