Bhubaneswar: The 28-members Pakistan hockey team, including captain Mohammad Rizwan, manager Hassan Sardar and coach Tauqeer Ahmad Dar visited Odisha Police stall at Fan Village inside Kalinga Stadium here on Monday.
They interacted with DGP Dr R P Sharma and other senior officers of Odisha Police.
When the team reached the Fan Village they were given a rousing welcome by Odisha Police through police band and a musical concert.
Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty, Director, SCRB, Dr. Sundhanshu Sarangi, Addl CP Sanjaya Singh and IGP (L/O) Amitav Thakur, and other senior officers received the players at the main gate.
The DGP formally welcomed them and felicitated all the team members.
Pakistan Team manager also gave mementos to DGP and other officers on the occasion.
Hockey lovers and mediapersons also interacted with them and took selfie.
Team manager Hassan Sardar also spoke on the occasion and thanked Odisha Police and people for the rousing reception and hospitality.
There was a huge rush in the Fan Village to have glimpse of the Pakistan players.
