New Delhi: Pakistani singer Shae Gill, who was criticised after she condoled the death of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in an Instagram post, has responded to the trolling she received online. Like several other celebrities, the ‘Pasoori’ singer also took to social media to share a heartfelt note after the singer’s shocking demise. “Heartbroken. May his soul rest in peace and may his family and friends have the strength to bear this loss,” Shae wrote on her Instagram stories.
The singer was criticised for allegedly offering dua for a non-Muslim. Shae posted screenshots of the messages she received and hit back at trolls, saying that since she was a Christian she could offer “prayers for people from different religions.”
“I’ve been getting a lot of such messages. Just wanted to inform everyone that I am not a Muslim. I am a Christian and belong to a Christian family and can make prayers for people from different religions,” Shae wrote on Instagram stories.
“If you send me messages like this, you are getting blocked”, the Pasoori singer added.
