Bhubaneswar: Sarpanch of a panchayat in Polasara of Ganjam district imposed 17-hour shut-down following arrival of 200 migrants.
The Sarpanch has declared that all shops and market places in the panchayat will remain closed during the shut-down period. Besides, all the protocols of COVID-19 will be followed by the villagers.
Ganjam has emerged as the hot spot of the COVID-19 in Odisha following arrival of thousands of migrant labourers in train from outside the State, particularly Surat in Gujarat.
