Phulbani: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday said that the third list of the farmers eligible for KALIA assistance will be displayed at each panchayat office till March 20.
“The enlisted farmers will be provided with financial assistance in April. Besides, the second-phase financial assistance to the KALIA beneficiaries is scheduled for April 1. I am personally monitoring the entire process and keeping a close watch to ensure that not a single eligible farmers is deprived of the benefit,” the Chief Minister said while addressing the KALIA samavesh at Mahasingi panchayat of K Nuagan block in Kandhamal district.
Stating that about 35 lakh farmers had been provided with the financial assistance till date, he said apart from the small and marginal farmers, sharecroppers, landless and agricultural farmers, the milk and the tassar farmers have also been included under the KALIA scheme.
The Chief Minister further said that some people with malafide intention are trying to impress upon the people by giving them a wrong notion that KALIA is a loan scheme. He requested the people not to get carried away by this false propaganda. “The KALIA scheme of the Odisha government has become a model scheme for the whole country. No one can stop this scheme,” he maintained.
