Balangir: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday carried out raids against the manager of a cooperative bank and a panchayat official in Balangir district on allegations of disproportionate assets.
In the first case, the anti-corruption wing raided the office and residence of Sagar Rana, the manager of Central Cooperative Bank’s Lathor branch in Titlagarh.
The raids were carried out at the bank branch, his home at Boys High Schoolpada and his father-in-law’s house at Ghunasara village.
Vigilance sleuths also conducted simultaneous raids on the office and houses of Biharilal Barik, the Panchayat Extension Officer (PEO) of Puintala panchayat in Balangir district.
The raids are on at the panchayat office and Barik’s house at Shantipada in Balangir town.
