Bhubaneswar: A delegation of the BJD met State Election Commissioner on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum demanding removal of roadside hoardings, banners, posters of BJP-led Government at the Centre.
The BJD alleged that there are a large number of hoardings, banners, posters are found at petrol pumps, highways, railway stations, airports, other Central Government installations, projects and offices, promoting the BJP-led Central Government programmes, schemes and projects in violation of the Model Code of Conduct, which is in force for the ensuing three-tier Panchayat elections in the State.
The BJD urged the SEC to take necessary steps for the removal of all such hoardings, banners and posters.
