Bhubaneswar: The panchayat elections in Odisha are unlikely to be held as per schedule in 2022, due to inordinate delay in completion of delimitation and reservation of Wards.
Informing this, Secretary, State Election Commission, Rabindra Nath Sahu said before the conduct of elections, delimitation and reservation of wards is carried out by the state government. The Commission had written to the government to complete the process of delimitation and reservation but the government is yet to do so, he added.
