Pandal Hopping In Pictures & The Radiant Forms Of Goddess Durga In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Dussehra celebrations in Bhubaneswar got bigger this year with over 190 puja pandals, showcasing a diverse array of themes, inspired by ‘Operation Sindoor’, tantric worship, Kathakali as well as by the iconic Nandighosa chariot of Lord Jagannath, a symbol from Maa Durga’s traditional stories.

While Mahabharat shooting set of Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad was replicated inside the pandal with peacock-shaped arch outside at Bomikhal, the one at Old Station Bazaar showcased innovate concepts like a flyer’s experience while departing from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here. The 70-feet tall pandal at Rasulgarh was designed to resemble a temple on a mountain in Uttarakhand, adorned with nearly 6,000 plants of different varieties.

Similarly, a 62-feet tall idol of Maa Durga in Dashabhuja form, giving the message of triumph of righteousness over evil, was the attraction at Mancheswar.

With the Durga Puja festivities coming to end, Odisha Bytes takes its readers through the pandals erected across the city with one last glimpse of the Goddess during his stay on earth, her paternal home.
