Bhubaneswar: 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V K Pandian visited Janata Maidan and Akshar Bhumi in Bhubaneswar on Thursday and reviewed the ongoing preparations for the first World Odia Language Conference.
He emphasised on connecting all the blocks and gram panchayats of the state during the first World Odia Language Conference beginning on Saturday. Pandian also underlined the need for live streaming of important sessions, focusing on the language and its future.
The 5T chairman advised officials concerned to adopt the future course of action by determining the important policies based on the proposals to be adopted in this conference.
It is worth mentioning that as per the decision of the Heritage Cabinet, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave direction for organising this conference. The theme of the conference is ‘Language is the Future’. The conference will have 16 academic sessions on various topics. It will be attended by eminent linguists, intellectuals and students of schools and colleges.
The conference will present the past and present transformation process of Odisha. Being held at the center of the historic city of Bhubaneswar, the conference will celebrate the Odia language. It will reflect the beauty of our language and the unique vision architectural marvel engraved in stones. It will be a major attraction for language lovers, especially the youth.
