Cuttack: A pangolin was rescued from a well at Budhiapatna village under Athagarh range in Cuttack district on Sunday morning.
According to sources, the pangolin strayed into the village from the adjoining forest in search of food and fell into the well.
The villagers alerted the forest officials of the Athgarh forest division after spotting it this morning. Following which, forest officials reached the spot and fished it out of the well.
The pangolin has been shifted to Budipatna Primary School. It will be released into the wild after treatment, the forest officials said.
