Paradip: To improve connectivity and and ease traffic movement around the port facility, Paradip Port Authority has constructed the new Atharabanki Bridge.

This bridge, across the Atharabanki Canal, is being considered a major infrastructure milestone that will reduce congestion in the area.

The New bridge is 500 metres long, comprising of a 30-metre composite girder. The project cost of the bridge was Rs 24.89 crore. It has dedicated footpaths and a pipeline corridor.

The three-lane bridge will replace the old two-lane structure.

“With nearly 3,000 trucks moving through Paradip Port every day, the new bridge will help reduce traffic congestion, facilitate smoother transportation and strengthen connectivity for port operations and the surrounding region,” the port authority has said.

The New bridge replaces the limitations of the decades-old structure. This infrastructure upgrade marks another step towards more efficient logistics and regional economic growth.
