‘Parents Can’t Be Held Responsible’: Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Sensational Pune Murder Case

Mumbai: As more details about Ketan Agarwal’s sensational murder continue to surface, actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has shared her views on the shocking crime in Pune.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana said that parents should not be blamed or held responsible for the actions of their children.

She opined that factors such as social media, artificial intelligence and a person’s social circle have a major influence on shaping an individual’s thinking, decisions and behaviour.

“These days just looking at the families, homes or paren

ts you can never be sure about sanskars of the children, what is more important is that who is programming them? Who they spend time with, what are their influences on SM/AI or real life. Parents can not be blamed because people are living so many parallel lives, people carefully build desirable perception of themselves because it is all about how they are seen not how they feel or who they really are, so families cannot be judged for children actions,” Kangana wrote, sharing a post that featured a statement from Siya Goyal’s father.

The death of 26-year-old Ketan was first believed to be an accident, but then it emerged that he was allegedly pushed from Lohagad Fort in a conspiracy hatched by his fiancée Siya and her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary. Both are in police custody.

According to Siya’s mother, they had sought her consent before arranging her marriage to Ketan.

Her parents said if Siya is found guilty, justice should not be delayed.

They added that she should receive the same punishment as anyone else found guilty under the law.
