Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of BJP on Wednesday said it will launch protest across the state from December 15 seeking justice for the family of minor girl Pari who was abducted and murdered in Naygarh district.
Besides take out rallies in all 147 Assembly constituencies from December 15 to 20, the party will launch a mega padyatra from Bhubaneswar to Pari’s village Jadupur on December 21.
State secretary of BJP Prithviraj Harichandan said when a government continues to cheat people, a revolution needs to be long and strong enough to pull it down. “We will bring out on a huge procession from Bhubaneswar to Jadupur and create awareness among people along the way about the government’s failures on December 21,” he said.
The BJP has been alleging lacuna in the probe into the case. Rejecting the SIT probe ordered by the state government, it has been demanding CBI investigation. Its activists have been staging a demonstration in front of the Nayagarh collector’s office.
