Nayagarh: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Crime Branch, probing the murder of minor girl Pari, has collected blood samples of more than 25 youths from Jadupur village.
While the SIT is yet to disclose the details, a senior police officer has said it has collected the blood samples of the youths from Jadupur village as the SIT is yet to identify the accused. The blood samples will be matched with the bloodstains on the dress of the deceased and the weapons used in the murder.
Sources said that the SIT had gone to the houses of these youths late on Saturday night and asked them to come to the Nayagarh Police Station and the Police Training School (PTS) in Nayagarrh on the next day for the collection of their blood samples.
Apart from this, the SIT, on the basis of the complaint lodged by the parents of the minor girl, also collected the blood samples of one Kanhu Nayak.
Nayak said that the SIT did not interrogate him and released him only after collecting the blood sample.
It may be recalled that Ashok Sahu, father of the deceased, had alleged that some youths, including Nayak from Jadupur, are involved in the rampant drug peddling and might have killed his daughter. He had said that some of those youths had also attacked him and his wife.
