Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA) on Monday paid a compensation of Rs 9 lakh to the family of Pari, a minor girl who was allegedly murdered in Jadupur village of Nayagarh district last year.
The case, which is being probed by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), created a massive furore across the State.
The Secretary of OSLSA, Nayagarh, has been asked to take immediate steps for the payment of 50 per cent of the compensation amount to Pari’s parents and remaining 50 per cent on conclusion of trial.
