Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday directed the Nayagarh SP to provide adequate security to the family members of Pari, the minor girl, who was abducted and murdered in July.
The court also ordered the SP to submit a status report on the investigation.
The HC directive came in response to a PIL filed by the Bharatiya Vikash Parishad on November 26 that sought a CBI probe into the case and compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s family.
The court will next hear the matter on December 16.
