Nayagarh: An eight-member team of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) led by the state party in-charge, A Chella Kumar, arrived at Jadupur village in Nayagarh district on Saturday to meet the family members of the minor girl who was found murdered on July 14.
The other members of the team are AICC secretary Rudra Raju, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik, leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Narasingha Mishra, Tara Prasad Bahinipati, former OPCC president Jayadeb Jena, former Union minister Bhakta Charan Das and former Nabarangpur MP Pradip Majhi.
Talking to the media, the OPCC president said that the team will interact with the family members of the deceased to get detailed information.
Stating that his party has demanded a court-monitored SIT probe into the incident, Patnaik said he is hopeful that the SIT probe will be transparent and the accused involved in this case will be arrested very soon.
