Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Crime Branch to submit the chargesheet in the murder of the minor girl Pari of Jadupur village in Nayagarh district.
The high court’s direction came in response to an affidavit filed by a petitioner Padmalaya Mohapatra.
The petitioner in her affidavit has stated that there is a mismatch in the statement of Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra and SIT chief Arun Bothra with regard to the cause of the death of the minor girl.
Apart from this, the petitioner apprised the court that the state government while appointing Bothra as the SIT chief, has not mentioned his designation.
The court will hold next hearing of the case on January 12.
