Cuttack: The Bharatiya Vikash Parishad on Wednesday filed a miscellaneous petition in Orissa High Court seeking polygraph test of IPS officer and the chief of the Crime Branch Special Investigation Team (SIT) Arun Bothra in connection with the murder of a minor girl of Jadupur village in Nayagarh district.
It also sought the polygraph test of the doctors who had earlier conducted the post-mortem of the remains of the girl as well as that of the doctors who had conducted the recent post-mortem.
The petitioner stated that while the earlier post-mortem report mentioned there is no evidence of rape, the recent post-mortem report has found the evidence of rape. Besides, the statement of the SIT chief on the involvement of the accused is strongly denied by his family members as well as parents of the deceased.
Considering the ambiguous statement of the SIT chief and the two post-mortem reports, the petitioner reiterated a CBI probe into the case.
The court will hear the petition on Thursday.
