Udaipur: Come Sunday, India’s next big fat wedding is set to take place in Udaipur.
Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and AAP politician Raghav Chadha will tie the knot at the picturesque Leela Palace hotel, which is surrounded by Pichola lake and Aravali hills on all sides in the beautiful city of lakes.
The would-be bride and groom reached Udaipur on Friday, along with their family members.
The city is all decked up to host the celebrity wedding. The mehendi ceremony will take place this evening.
As indicated on the wedding card, the baraatis’ procession will have a royal theme. The Taj Lake Palace, where the groom and his family and friends are staying, is in the middle of Lake Pichola while Leela Palace is on another side.
On Sunday, the groom and baraatis will come out of The Taj Lake Palace at 2 pm and board royal boats to reach the wedding venue, reported India Today.
To prevent leaking of photos and videos from the high-profile wedding, elaborate measures have been taken.
According to hotel sources, a blue-coloured tape will be affixed to mobile cameras of all guests, hotel staff and others involved in preparations to ensure no unauthorised filming or photography during any of the ceremonies.
The hotel staff, employees and other and those responsible for tents, decorations, sound systems and food preparation have reportedly been restricted from leaving the premises for three days.
Parineeti and Raghav hosted Sufi night for their close friends and family members in Delhi on Thursday. They earlier sought blessings at a gurudwara, where they participated in Ardas and Kirtan.
