was involved in an accident but is doing fine and will compete in her event – women’s golf – as planned. The Indian golfer is due to take part in the Paris Olympics.
Diksha, her father and caddie Col Naren Dagar, her mother and brother were all in the car which was hit by another vehicle on Tuesday night when they were returning from a function at India House in Paris.
According to Col Dagar, Diksha is fine and preparing to take part in women’s golf — from August 7 to 10.
Diksha’s mother, however, has been hospitalised with a suspected injury in the spinal area.

Their car was crossing an intersection when the light changed and there was an ambulance on the side. A second car, which was on the other side of the ambulance, was not visible to Diksha’s driver and it hit them from the side.
“We spoke to Diksha’s father Col Dagar after the accident and would like to confirm that the family is safe. Diksha’s mother has suffered a stress in her spine due to the impact and is under medical supervision and her brother is also safe and sound. On behalf of the Indian Golf Union, I would like to reiterate that we are in continuous touch with the family and will continue to provide whatever support possible in this situation. I am happy that a talent like Diksha will be representing the country for the second time in the Olympics as per schedule. On behalf of IGU and the golfing fraternity and fans, I wish her good luck for a memorable performance,” said Brijinder Singh, president of Indian Golf Union.
