New Delhi: India claimed its fifth medal of the 2024 Paris Paralympics through shooter Rubina Francis.
The 25-year-old para athlete from Madhya Pradesh finished third in P2 Women’s 10 m Air Pistol SH1 to claim a bronze medal on Saturday.
Rubina tallied 211.1 in the eight-woman final, improving her showing in qualification round where she was placed seventh earlier in the day.
It was India’s fourth medal from the shooting range, after Avani Lekhara struck back-to-back Paralympics gold, Mona Agarwal took bronze in Women’s 10m Air Rifle (SH1), while Manish Narwal claimed silver in Men’s 10m Air Pistol (SH1).
