Bhubaneswar: A middle-class man falls in bank loan trap to meet the requirements of his family members. Starting from housing loan and car loan to that for education of children, treatment of ageing parent and meeting wife’s demands, the burden get a little too much for him. This is the gist of Partha Sarathi Ray’s upcoming Odia film ‘Aau Eka Dina’. The film is being directed by Snehasis Das and has Gargi Mohanty in the lead female role.
Partha plays an ordinary man who works hard to make ends meet. When he loses his private company job, his life becomes miserable. “This is not a regular film. The story is contemporary and people can relate to it. The film revolves around two days in the protagonist’s life and his struggle. The songs are interwoven in the storyline,” said Partha, who hit the big screen with ‘Nai Separi Kanaka Gori’ and ‘Gadbad’.
Describing the character, he said, “In life, we find ourselves at crossroads unable to decide on whether to quit or carry on with the challenging situations. I hope to draw more literate audience to the theatre with the movie.”
